Move 2 Thrive Clinic is committed to complying with the Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles 2014, as well as the privacy provisions of all applicable legislation.

This privacy policy covers all personal information that we hold, which is any information or opinion about an individual whose identity is apparent or can be reasonably ascertained from that information or opinion. This includes information we have collected from people through our office, over the phone, and over the internet.

 

Collecting information

When we collect personal information from someone, we will do so fairly and let them know how to contact our organisation. We will only collect information that is necessary for our functions or activities.

We will tell people why we are collecting their personal information.

If someone chooses not to provide information we have requested, we will let them know what consequences this could have. For example, withholding certain information may limit our ability to provide relevant offers or services.

We will only share personal information in compliance with the Privacy Act. This means that personal information may be shared:

• For the purposes for which we have informed the individual that we are collecting it, and for related purposes that are reasonably expected by the individual,

• Where we have the individual's consent to do so,

During our business activities, we may need to share some of your personal information with relevant staff.

At Move 2 Thrive Clinic, we take our commitment to protecting individual privacy seriously. Any unauthorised access to, or disclosure of, personal information by our employees or contractors will be considered a serious breach of our policy. In such cases, we will take appropriate action, which may include disciplinary or legal action.

 

Opt-out

We always offer individuals a way to contact us at no cost and request to opt-out of receiving any product offers.

 

Access to personal information

At Move 2 Thrive Clinic, we allow individuals to access their personal information upon request. However, there may be times when we need to deny access in accordance with the exemptions contained in the Act.

At Move 2 Thrive Clinic and its associations, we strive to protect the personal information we collect. This information is handled confidentially and securely, and will be appropriately destroyed when it is no longer needed.

To ensure the safety of personal information, we continuously monitor and adopt appropriate technical advances and management processes.

Availability and review of Policy

We will gladly provide our privacy policy upon request and also include a link to it on our website. Please note that this policy is subject to review and may be updated with amendments from time to time.

 

Cancellation Policy

At Move 2 Thrive Clinic, we kindly request that you provide us with at least 24 hours of notice if you need to reschedule or cancel an appointment. If you fail to do so, we will require full payment for the missed appointment. Refunds are granted solely at the discretion of Move 2 Thrive Clinic.

 

Policy on Refunds and Purchasing Sessions in Advance

If you have already purchased sessions with Move 2 Thrive Clinic and would like a refund, you will need to obtain a letter from your GP explaining why you need to discontinue your Exercise Physiology services. Please note that Move 2 Thrive Clinic does not offer refunds for changes of mind.
